Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept sending each other screenshots and complaints about mobile games. At some point we figured we might as well write it down properly, so here we are. The site is small, independent, and run by people who genuinely play on the bus, on the couch, and during lunch breaks.,We don't chase every new release. Instead we pick games we're actually curious about and give them enough time to reveal their real character — the first hour is usually a lie. A game that feels great in a trailer can fall apart once you notice the battery melting or the tutorial that never ends.,When we choose what to cover, we look at variety. There's no point reviewing ten match-three clones in a row, so we spread across RPGs, strategy, racing, adventure and the odd relaxing simulator. If something is clever with touch controls or unusually gentle on your phone's battery, that's a strong reason for us to write about it.,Nobody pays us to say nice things. If a game annoys us, we say so, and if we love it, we explain exactly why. That's the whole point.
