Neon Drift Rally

Neon Drift Rally is pure arcade joy. Forget realistic physics — this is about drifting through neon-soaked corners at ridiculous speeds and chaining boosts. It clicked with me immediately, which is the highest compliment I can give a mobile racer.

You get a choice of tilt steering or on-screen buttons, and both are well tuned. I personally preferred the buttons for precision, but the tilt option felt responsive too. The sense of speed is excellent, and the soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting.

Be warned: this one eats battery. The visual effects are demanding, and after about forty minutes my phone was noticeably warm. There's a reduced-effects mode in settings that helps, though it dims some of the game's charm.
