Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is the kind of atmospheric adventure that stays with you. You wander a hushed, half-ruined town, solve environmental puzzles, and slowly piece together what happened there. It never explains too much, and that restraint is exactly what makes it work.

The tap-to-move and swipe interactions are simple and never got in the way of the mood. Puzzles are logical rather than obtuse, so I rarely reached for a hint. It's a game best played with headphones in a dark room, phone brightness turned down.

It's short — I finished the main story in a few evenings — but every scene feels deliberate. Battery use is very gentle thanks to the mostly static environments, making it great for travel.
