Petal Garden Days

Petal Garden Days is comfort food in game form. You tend a little garden, plant flowers, arrange decorations, and watch it grow over time. There's no failure state and no pressure, just gentle progress and the small satisfaction of a tidy plot.

Everything is done with taps and drags, and the interface is warm and uncluttered. I liked that it respects offline time — plants keep growing while you're away, so you're rewarded for coming back rather than punished for leaving.

It's not a game that demands hours, and that's the appeal. Five minutes here and there is enough. Battery drain is minimal, and the muted color palette is easy on the eyes late at night.
